Most production problems are baked in before purchasing starts: a footprint that does not match the part, a BOM line that is obsolete, a harness drawing with no wire lengths. IPS Assembly’s design support and DFM services catch these issues during quoting and NPI so the first article builds clean and the production release is repeatable.

(Wire lists, drawings, labeling specs)
Build-to-print means we build exactly what your documentation says — which only works when the documentation is complete. Our engineering support fills the gaps: missing torque specs, undefined label content, wire colors that do not match the schematic, a connector with no mating part called out. We document what we find, propose a fix, and get your approval before the build proceeds. Read where production begins and engineering support starts.
A BOM can be technically correct and still fail on the shop floor: a part in stock nowhere, a package variant that does not match the pad, a value with no manufacturer part number. Our BOM validation step runs every line against availability, lifecycle status and the footprint on the board before purchasing. See the gap between a correct BOM and a buildable one and component sourcing and selection.
Design support is included in our NPI process for turnkey builds; larger engineering tasks are quoted as NRE. Start with a quote.
