IPS Assembly integrates the printed circuit board assemblies and cable harnesses we build into complete electromechanical units — enclosures, panels, control boxes and sub-assemblies — so you receive a tested product instead of a kit of parts. Because boards, harnesses and final assembly are all under one roof in Livonia, Michigan, there is one supplier, one quality system and one point of accountability from bare board to boxed unit.
(Mechanical, PCBA and harness integration)
(Kitted or turnkey, serialized)
(Power-on, I/O, custom test fixtures)
A box build starts with a documentation review: mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOM, test procedure and any labeling or packaging spec. Our engineering team flags gaps before purchasing starts, then the build follows a written work instruction with in-process inspection at each stage — PCBA install, harness routing, connector mating, closure, test and final inspection.
Units are serialized so the board lot, harness lot and test result for any shipped unit can be pulled up later. Read what happens after you send your files for the step-by-step process.
Industrial equipment makers, automotive and mobility suppliers, defense and government programs, energy and lighting OEMs. Typical projects range from prototype quantities of one to five units through recurring production of hundreds per month. If you are consolidating suppliers or bringing an offshore build back to the U.S., see our transfer process.
