IPS Assembly builds printed circuit board assemblies, wire harnesses and electronic modules for automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and OEM engineering groups. We are IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certified and located in Livonia, Michigan — inside the Detroit-area supply base — which means prototype boards can be picked up the same day they finish and engineering reviews can happen in person.
(DV/PV quantities, quick-turn)
(IATF 16949 controlled process)
(Sensors, controllers, lighting, battery LV)
Automotive programs move from a few engineering samples to validation lots to production. IPS is set up to carry a part through all three: the same BOM, the same process documentation and the same quality system from the first hand-built prototype to recurring production releases. That continuity removes the re-qualification risk that comes with switching from a prototype shop to a volume supplier. Read more in why choosing the right EMS partner from day one matters.
Being in Livonia matters for automotive work in a practical way: a Tier 1 engineer in Auburn Hills, Southfield, Dearborn or Warren can drop off a kit, review a first article on our floor and take parts back the same day. We have built series prototypes for most of the largest automakers based in Detroit as well as their supplier base.
